Monday we talk with Moody Bible Institute professor Elizabeth Smith about when to rescue and when not to; Ann Ring will introduce us to St. Joseph Worker House Association and its ministry to homeless women and children in our community; Tuesday Gerad Hall will answer your Bible questions and he'll talk about ways to reach out when Jehovah Witnesses come to your door, and Mike Fabarez will join us to talk about parenting boys; Wednesday Todd Nettleton from Voice of the Martyrs will give us an update and we'll talk with Matthew Smith about the importance of knowing the hymns; Edgewood Baptist has a new ministry for those of you in your 20's and we'll get the details on an event this weekend; the Secret Keeper Girl Purple Party Tour will take place in November and Thursday we will visit with Dannah Gresh and introduce you to a new tween devotional; closing out the week highlighting a church in Kewanee.

Ken Brooks and Deb Gustafson

Ken Brooks is originally from the state of Montana, where he was born and raised. Following high school, Ken attended May Technical College where he studied broadcasting. He landed his first radio job at KPRK in Livingston, Mont., where he learned how to do everything in radio and even performed some janitorial duties (with a small staff everybody had to pitch in). Ken has worked all over the country in radio including Montana, Oklahoma, Nebraska (three times), Arizona and Illinois.

Ken and his wife, Debbie, were married in 1983 and have four adult children. He came to know the Lord in December 1989, while working at a country station in Oklahoma. He considers it a privilege to serve the Lord in radio and he loves coming to work every day to see how the Lord will move.

Deb grew up in Arlington Heights, Ill. Shortly after receiving her bachelor's degree from Wheaton College she went to work for Moody Radio in 1983. She has been a part of the Moody Radio team since then serving in both full and part-time positions. Deb currently is the morning show producer/cohost and news director.

Deb has been married to her husband, Charly, since 1984. Together they have three grown children. Deb has a passion for music and being a part of the worship ministry at her church. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She aspires to be available for God's use and glory and to remain moldable and obedient to what God would desire for her life and talents.
